Customer complaint
What the customer noticed
The Dometic 300 Series RV toilet was leaking when the flush pedal was pressed, allowing water to collect around the toilet base and creating a risk of damage to the surrounding RV flooring.
Diagnostic findings
What inspection and testing revealed
Operated the foot-pedal flush mechanism while inspecting the water supply and valve assembly. The leak occurred while water was flowing and was traced to a failed Dometic toilet water valve rather than the supply-line connection or toilet base seal.
Work performed or recommended
What Sunset did or recommended
Removed the faulty water valve from the Dometic 300 Series toilet and installed a replacement valve. Reconnected the water-supply hose, secured the hose clamps and valve connections, restored water pressure, and operated the flush pedal repeatedly while checking the assembly for leaks.
Outcome and next step
Where the service call stands
The replacement water valve operated correctly and no further leaks were found during testing. The Forest River Flagstaff E-Pro toilet was returned to normal operation, helping protect the bathroom flooring from continued water exposure.
