The bedroom air conditioner kept freezing up, and the customer was concerned that the living room AC might also be failing.

What inspection and testing revealed
The living room AC tested normally with about 9 amps on a 10.4 RLA compressor and a 25-degree temperature split. The bedroom Coleman Mach 8 had an algae-clogged evaporator drain; backed-up water reached the coil and caused the freeze sensor to shut the unit down repeatedly.

Cleaned the evaporator drain tray, removed the algae blockage, enlarged the factory weep hole to improve drainage, and verified compressor operation.
