What the customer noticed
The driver-side front stabilizer jack stopped responding to its electrical switch. When the customer attempted to operate it using the manual crank, the jack produced grinding and popping noises.
Diagnostic findings
What inspection and testing revealed
The stabilizer-jack fuse was good, and more than 12 volts were reaching the switch. However, no power was leaving the switch. After separating the motor from the stabilizer jack and supplying 12 volts directly to it, Keith confirmed that the motor was running internally but its output shaft was not turning. The motor had failed internally, and the resulting electrical demand may also have damaged the switch.

Sunset Mobile RV Repair isolated and individually tested the fuse, switch and stabilizer motor rather than replacing parts based only on the symptoms. Replacement of both the failed motor and switch was recommended.
